Las pinturas y dibujos con tema marimba son la caracter\u00edstica de Efra\u00edn Andrade como pintor.<\/strong><\/p>

Si bien a lo largo de los a\u00f1os Andrade realiz\u00f3 muchas obras de paisajes, retratos y naturalezas muertas, son las de tema marimba por las que Andrade es m\u00e1s reconocido, y las que mejor representan la cultura esmeralde\u00f1a.<\/p>

Las obras Marimbas representan el instrumento, los m\u00fasicos y generalmente algunos bailarines. Un conjunto de marimba usa un bombo, tambores, cununo y guas\u00e1.<\/p>

The Marimba dance served as expression of freedom for people since their arrival in Esmeraldas.\u00a0 At the beginning of the 20th century, marimba dances were regulated which greatly affected the culture of the African – Descent Ecuadorians. But in the middle of the 20th century, they began to resurrect their beloved marimba music, dances and traditions.<\/p>

La llegada de Efra\u00edn Andrade a Esmeraldas en 1951 contribuy\u00f3 al nacimiento de la cultura pict\u00f3rica de la marimba esmeralde\u00f1a a trav\u00e9s de sus dibujos y pinturas que contin\u00faan haciendo conocer la cultura esmeralde\u00f1a.<\/p>

Mural Al Futbolista, Estadio Folke Anderson<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Commissioned by Folke Anderson, Efra\u00edn Andrade designed and built the mural located on the frontispiece of the Folke Anderson Stadium of Esmeraldas. Andrade was inspired to create this mural by the people of Esmeraldas, and their love of soccer. The eleven figures on the mural represent not only the soccer players from Esmeraldas, but also everyone who, at one point or another, kicked the ball on the field of their beloved stadium.<\/p>

El mural de Andrade ha contribuido a la inspiraci\u00f3n de j\u00f3venes a llegar a ser futbolistas como las grandes figuras de la entrada del estadio.<\/p>

Folke Anderson, influyente propietario de la compa\u00f1\u00eda frutera Astral fue promotor de la construcci\u00f3n del estadio. \nFolke Anderson naci\u00f3 en Suecia, y en 1948 ya cultivaba y exportaba banano de Ecuador a Estados Unidos y Europa. Su negocio de comercio de frutas jug\u00f3 un papel importante en la econom\u00eda de Esmeraldas durante las d\u00e9cadas de 1950 y 1960.<\/p>

Embarque de banano<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

\"Embarque de banano\" es el proceso de inspecci\u00f3n, transporte y carga de la fruta a los buques para su exportaci\u00f3n. Efra\u00edn Andrade ha documentado y preservado estas pr\u00e1cticas significativas que fueron parte de la cultura de Esmeraldas en las d\u00e9cadas de 1950 y 1960.<\/p>

Las fotos y pinturas de Efra\u00edn Andrade representan la historia de la \u00e9poca dorada del banano en la provincia de Esmeraldas.<\/p>

Andrade pas\u00f3 tiempo con los trabajadores de banano en el campo. Observ\u00f3 de cerca sus tareas de cosecha y carga del banano primero a los camiones y luego a los buques para exportar la fruta a los Estados Unidos y Europa. Captur\u00f3 en blanco y negro las dif\u00edciles condiciones de trabajo, fuerte calor y a menudo terreno de lodo. As\u00ed, Efra\u00edn Andrade:<\/p>
